Margaret “Peggy” Wheat

Peggy has been practising law since 1979.

She attended the University of Alberta attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1974 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1978. She practiced law in Lloydminster and then in Vermilion before establishing Wheat Law Office in December 1989. Although she is a general practitioner, Peggy’s preferred areas of practice are wills, estates, elder law, family law and real estate.

Peggy has extensive training and experience as a collaborative lawyer and is a qualified mediator. She frequently works with negotiation-based settlements.

Peggy has raised three daughters on a farm located in the Marwayne area. Wheat Law Office has a branch office in Marwayne, where she currently resides, with office hours of 9:00 a.m. to noon on Fridays only.


Jeff KEnyon

Jeff was born and raised in Lloydminster. He obtained his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006 and was called to the Alberta bar in 2008.

Jeff has a general practice with a focus on the areas of real estate, wills and estates, and family law. He is also a family law mediator and trained collaborative divorce lawyer. Jeff practices out of both the Lloydminster and Vermilion offices of Wheat Kenyon.

While married with three busy children, he enjoys getting out for a round of golf whenever possible.


Josh mountain

Josh grew up in the town of Lac La Biche, AB. After graduating from J.A. Williams High School, he attended the University of Alberta and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts (major in Sociology, minor in Psychology). He then attended the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law and received his J.D. in 2014. He began his articles with Wheat Law Office in December 2014 under the tutelage of Margaret Wheat. Josh was called to the Alberta Bar on January 15, 2016.

Josh’s main areas of practice are family law, real estate, collections, wills, corporate law and commercial law.

In his spare time, Joshua dabbles in various hobbies such as cross-country running, wakeboarding, golf, guitar and winemaking.

During his time at the University of Alberta, Josh was involved in various volunteer and philanthropic opportunities. Joshua is always willing to volunteer and be a helping hand in the community, and he looks forward to growing with the town of Vermilion.
